Editorial standards

Who publishes this site, how it is paid for, and the rules we hold ourselves to.

Who publishes NBK Social.

NBK Social is published by NBK Media FZ-LLC, registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a studio in Manchester. The company is founder-led by Matt Cunnelly and Josh Stoddard. Matt Cunnelly is the editor responsible for everything published here.

How we are funded.

NBK Media FZ-LLC is a working social media agency, and the publication is funded by that client work. Nothing here is paid placement today. If we ever carry sponsorship or advertising, it will be labelled on the piece itself, the reporting around it will still be written and checked by us rather than handed to an advertiser, and any paid link will be marked so it carries no search credit. This page changes before any of that appears.

Editorial and commercial are separate.

No client, prospect or partner sees an article before publication. No client and no advertiser can buy, block or amend coverage. Commercial material is labelled, sits after the article, and is never dressed up as reporting.

When we cover our own clients.

We report on our own clients on the same terms as anyone else, including when the news is unfavourable. Where an article mentions a company NBK Social works with or has worked with, the relationship is disclosed in the article at the point of mention, not in a footer.

Sourcing.

We use primary sources first: platform announcements, company filings, regulator publications and the reports themselves rather than summaries of them. The primary source is named in the article and linked in the Sources list at its foot; a news brief links it in the opening paragraphs as well. Reporting by other outlets is credited in the text and linked in the same list. Every figure carries its source and the period it covers. We do not publish a number we cannot point at, and we do not report a rumour as news.

Right of reply.

Anyone criticised in an article is approached for comment before publication: within 24 to 48 hours for news, and five working days for features. If they do not respond, the article says so. The right of reply continues after publication: a later response is added to the article as a dated update.

Analysis and opinion.

Analysis is labelled as analysis and opinion is labelled as opinion. Both are argued from facts stated in the same piece, never presented as reporting.

Dating and updates.

Every article carries the date it was published on this site. We do not backdate. An article's date is the day it first appeared here, and it never moves earlier afterwards. Where an article covers something that happened earlier, the piece says when that was: the platform announced it on one date and we published on another, and both belong to the reader. When we make a substantive change to a published article we add a visible Updated date and a one-line note saying what changed. Typo fixes, link repairs and formatting do not earn an updated date. A factual error is not an update but a correction, handled under our corrections policy. Some articles are written ahead of time and scheduled; a scheduled article appears on the date it carries, never before. This policy applies to everything published from 10 September 2026. Articles published before that date keep the dates they were given.

Corrections.

We correct errors promptly and visibly. See the corrections policy.

Artificial intelligence.

We use AI tools to assist research and drafting. A named person reads, checks and signs off every article before it is published. See our AI policy.

People.

Named individuals are covered in their public professional capacity only.
