Snap adds five AI creation tools to Lens+.

Lens+ subscribers can now turn chats into songs, fix Snaps, remix friends’ Snaps and stickers and restyle captions, rolling out in every Lens+ market.

Snap has added five AI creation features to Lens+, the premium tier inside Snapchat+ that it introduced last year, announcing them on its newsroom on 21 September 2026.

They are rolling out now in every market where Lens+ is available, and Snap says access may vary by region over the coming weeks.

The same post carries one number worth keeping: Snapchat+ now reaches more than 25 million subscribers around the world. Snap does not say how many of those pay for Lens+, or what the tier costs, so the five features reach an unstated share of the Snapchat paying base.

The five features

  • Create Song: press and hold a chat message, choose Create Song and a musical genre, preview the result and send it into the conversation.
  • AI Photoshoot: clean up a Snap where someone blinked, looked away, pulled a face or was caught in bad lighting, without retaking it.
  • AI Remix for Snaps: restyle a Snap a friend has sent into a new version that carries on the conversation.
  • Sticker remix: reinvent a custom, saved or received Sticker in a range of styles.
  • AI-enhanced fonts: turn a caption into bubble letters, fuzzy textures, spray paint, foam or other styled text.

Snap describes all five as building on the exclusive Lenses and tools already inside Lens+, and every one of them is subscriber-only.

What is unchanged

The post says nothing about ads, Public Profiles or creator payouts. It names no brand or business surface, and gives no date for full availability beyond the coming weeks.

What it means for creators

Lens+ is where Snap now puts its newest creative tools, and they sit behind a subscription rather than in the free camera. If you make Snaps and Stories for an audience and you are not a Snapchat+ subscriber, your captions and edits will sit beside styled text and AI-cleaned photos from people who are, so the gap between what a paying account and a free one can make inside the app just widened.

One thing to do this week: if you are on Snapchat+, check whether Lens+ has switched on for your region and try the styled fonts and AI Photoshoot on a real Story before you rely on them, because Snap says access is arriving region by region. If you are not, note which of the five you would actually use; the price of the tier is not in this announcement, so check it in the app before deciding.
