Meta adds AI rule checks and a shared content calendar to Forum for group admins.

Meta’s Forum app for Facebook Groups gives admins AI tags on pending posts, custom Admin Assist rules, a shared calendar and pinned comments.

Meta has added a set of admin tools to Forum, its standalone app for Facebook Groups, in a newsroom post dated 23 October 2026.

The update covers moderation, planning and teamwork: admin AI now tags pending posts as likely meeting or going against a group’s rules, Admin Assist accepts custom rules built from several conditions, and admins and moderators can work from one shared calendar of scheduled posts.

Forum is available to download in the US on iOS and Android, and people log in with their Facebook account to find their groups. Meta says the tools are meant to take on the busywork of running a group: reviewing posts, answering questions, keeping conversations on track and planning what comes next.

Moderation and drafting

Admin AI is the group management tool built into Forum. It already helps admins triage pending items such as member requests and pending posts, and highlights what is working, what needs attention and which topics members are discussing. It now also checks pending posts against the group rules the admin has set, giving each post a tag that shows whether it likely meets the rules or may go against them. The tags appear in the pending post queue and in admin AI. Admin AI can also draft posts for admins to review, edit and publish, and Meta says admins can use it to draft and schedule up to five posts in one go.

Admin Assist, the automated moderation tool, now lets admins build custom rules by combining multiple conditions, such as post length, link usage or prior moderation actions. Meta says admins stay in control of what they allow, and all posts remain subject to its Community Standards.

Planning and team tools

  • Insights built around a group’s stage, whether brand new, growing or well established, highlighting what admins should act on next. They show in the group and in Admin Home on Forum.
  • Regular updates inside Admin Home on what is new in Groups.
  • One calendar for admins and their moderators that shows the posts the team has scheduled.
  • Pinned comments, so an admin can keep an answer, a correction or a clarification where members will see it.

The post does not say whether Forum or these tools will reach markets outside the US.

What it means for brands

For a brand that runs a community through Facebook Groups, the shared calendar and the five-post scheduling let admins and moderators see what is already queued before anyone posts. The rule tags and the custom Admin Assist conditions put more of the first-pass moderation on the rules the admin has written, so the wording of those rules now does more of the work. This week, if your team runs a group, reread its written rules and tighten any that are vague, since admin AI checks pending posts against them; if your admins are in the US, move the moderators onto the shared calendar in Forum.
